I’m sure you’ve all been dying to see who WAS that wonder woman I last posted about, who ran and leaped almost to the roof during the first dance (someone suggested on my Facebook post that Petra might be part Maasai warrior). By day she is a mild-mannered veterinarian, who married her dairy farmer fiancé Bryce at – rather appropriately I thought – a converted milk factory in Otaki. It was my first wedding at The Milk Station and I loved it! What a totally gorgeous place – the reception room is stunning, the structured gardens reminded me of Italy, and there are also other less manicured areas on the grounds that are great for photos, such as a little orchard.

Botanic artist Sarah Hodge created the girls’ bouquets – Petra gave her completely free reign and basically said “surprise me”. Pretty impressive results, no? Actually Petra said that to me too, rather than coming into the shoot with a mental list of shots she wanted. You’ve got to love it when people have trust in the vendors they have chosen, and just let them do their thing. :)

Here are a few (OK, a lot) of photos from this beautiful wedding. Thanks for a great day, you two!
